Building a Connected and Supported Community Where Immigrant Families Have Access to Trusted Information and Direct Services
Your donation supports the Whatcom County Immigration Initiative, a community-driven effort that brings together more than 100 organizations working to support immigrant and Latino/Latinx/Latine families across Whatcom County. Through community meetings, immigration summits, direct services, and trusted partnerships, this initiative creates safe spaces where families can access accurate information, ask questions, build relationships, and connect to critical resources.
Additional community projects include the Immigrant Family Direct Support Fund, Language Access Project, Food Pantry Access Project for immigrant ESL students, Multilingual Translation Headset Access Project, Mexican Consulate Mobile Services (“Van on Wheels”) Project, Community Outreach & Trust Building Project with community officers and liaisons, Community Partner Resource Directory Project, and collaboration with the Stories Connection Project, which uplifts community voices and lived experiences through storytelling and relationship building.
Your support helps ensure that immigrant families are not navigating fear, uncertainty, language barriers, or complex systems alone. Together, we are strengthening community connections, expanding access to trusted information and culturally responsive support, and building a more informed, connected, and resilient community for all.
