2025 All Hands Whatcom Summit
It's All Connected - Opioid Crisis, Mental Health, & The Power of Second Chances!
Join us on September 24th and 25th for It’s All Connected, where we will explore the intersection of the opioid crisis, mental health, and incarceration through personal stories, local data, immersive learning experiences, and community-driven solutions. Change begins when our community comes together and builds a path forward rooted in justice, compassion, and healing.
At last year’s summit, youth leaders stood alongside other local experts to guide us through the impacts of the opioid crisis, how to build communities dedicated to fostering generations of healing and hope, and the importance of prevention. Alongside our partners from Kitsap Strong and the Up From Slavery initiative, we hosted Whatcom’s first Re-entry simulation that highlighted the gaps in re-entry systems and the impacts of incarceration on our neighbors. This year, we’re bringing those conversations together as we talk about the power of second chances for all of us as a community. Through what we’re learning at All Hands and the commitments we’re making to one another, we’re being given:
-
A chance to create a future where all youth have what they need to flourish
-
A chance to truly support people returning from incarceration
-
A chance to become the community that cares for its people before they’re in crisis
At this year’s All Hands Whatcom Summit, “It’s All Connected,” we’ll gather as a community to hear local truths about the opioid crisis, mental health, and incarceration. By understanding how it’s all connected, we can create comprehensive solutions that lead to healing and lasting change.
This year’s summit includes a half-day Re-Entry Simulation followed by a full day Summit with panels and community learning. Please join us for either day, or both!
